href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/theagencyblog/2718461246/">SocialMedia Camp</a>.</p><p><a
href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_Web">The semantic web</a> can fix the issue of data portability in social media.  How?  By using associations to group different profiles together.
